Ranger Exes Memorial - The Faculty

Bill Askew BILL ASKEW, 75, of Abilene, died on Aug. 19, 2001 at a local nursing center, with burial at Woodson Cemetery in Throckmorton County, TX. Mr. Askew was born on June 28, 1926 in Woodson. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He moved to Olney, TX, where he worked as a railroad agent & also taught school. Mr. Askew taught school in Ranger and Abilene, TX, where he taught for 17 years at Lincoln Jr. High School and three years at Cooper High School. He retired in 1988. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Survivors at the time of his death are two daughters, Karla Ann Moffett of West Columbia, TX, and Tonya Beth Williamson of Sugar Land, TX; two sisters, Charlie Lee Sanders of San Antonio & Tommie McNatt of Burns Flat, OK; and five grandchildren.
