JOHNNIE YOUNG, 78, died on July 19, 1993, in Eastland
Memorial Hospital. Burial was in Pioneer Cemetery in
Ranger.
Miss Young, daughter of Thomas Henry & Bertie Alexander
Stiffler Young, was born August 18, 1914, in Ranger. She
had lived there most of her life. She attended public
school in Ranger, graduating in 1931, Ranger Jr. College
and received a teaching degree from Hardin Simmons in
Abilene. She started teaching at Wilds Switch in Wilds
Canyon, taught at Cross Roads and then the second grade
at Hodges Oak Park in Ranger. She was a member of Eastside
Baptist Church in Ranger and was pianist there for many
years.
At the time of her death, she was survived by a brother,
E.E. Young of Ranger and several nieces and nephews.
