DAN GOMEZ was born Oct. 26, 1933 in LaGrange, TX and passed
away on Feb. 12, 2009, at his home in Mesquite after a brief
but valiant battle of liver cancer. Interment was at Calvary
Hill Cemetery.
Dan was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United
States Navy and worked at the Dallas Works in maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Leonor; sons Danny
& Carlos; parents Anselmo & Concepcion; and brother Raymond.
Those left to cherish him are his son Larry (Debra) Gomez of
Scurry; daughter Mary Ann (Craig) Cates of Dallas; 8 grand-
children; 11 great-grandchildren & one more on the way; his
sisters Flora Suarez of Houston, Otelia (George) Pachacano,
Liz (Isaac) Delatorre; and his brothers Paul (Frances) Gomez
& Elmer Gomez; all of Taylor. Many more aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends who dearly loved him.
