JOHN FRANKLIN LENTS was born on April 17, 1930 in Ripley,
TN and passed away Nov. 10, 1999 surrounded by his family.
He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1968 and also retired from
AT&T in 1992.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maxine; daughters
and sons-in-law, Linda and Mel hammer of Malibu, CA, Pat and
John Silo of Carrollton and Kathy and Marty Scott of Mesquite.
He was a loving "Papa" to Laurie Cotter, Chad Crawford, Kandi
Grundon, Holly Grundon, Heather Holdsworth, Karen Scott, Sidney
Scott, John Silo IV, and Josh Silo; and a proud great-grandfather
to Vanessa Holdsworth and Kevin Scott. Also survived by his
brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Mary Lents of Ripley, TN
and a host of nieces and nephews. Interment was at Laurel Land
Memorial Park.
