TAMMY KAY AINSWORTH BERNARD, age 39 of Ranger, passed
away on January 31, 2011 at Eastland Memorial Hospital
with her family by her side after a long and courageous
battle with cancer. Burial was at the Alameda Cemetery.
Tammy was born on December 28, 1971 at Ranger General
Hospital, Ranger, TX. She is the daughter of Marlinda
Hernandez and Ronnie Ainsworth. She graduated from
Ranger High School in 1990. Following high school, she
married Jason Bernard (RHS-1989) in July of 1990 and
had two beautiful children during their marriage. Tammy
pursued a career in the medical field where she earned
an EMT and Paramedic license at TSTC in Breckenridge.
She was a full time employee with the city of Ranger
ambulance service for seven years, and a member of the
Ranger volunteer fire department. She was a member of
Gunsight Baptist Church in Gunsight Texas. Tammy enjoyed
spending time with her children and dogs. She also
enjoyed camping, fishing, decorating for the holidays,
and having cookouts with family and friends. Tammy had
dedicated her life to helping others.
She is preceded in death by grandparents: Douglas Blakney,
Calvin Ainsworth & Jean Ainsworth.
She is survived by her two children: daughter, Alissa
Bernard; son, Jayson Bernard; mother, Marlinda Hernandez;
father, Ronnie Ainsworth (RHS-1972) and wife Sherry;
grandmother, Mary Lou Blakney; two brothers: Ronnie
Ainsworth (RHS-1999) and wife Melissa, and Sonny
Ainsworth (RHS-2001) and wife Jenny; sister: Mandi
Bethea; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,
nephews, and friends that she considered family.
