ELLEN COZART KANADY, 63, of Carbon, TX passed away
Sept. 15, 2011 in Eastland, TX, with burial in Murray
Cemetery.
Ellen was born on July 15, 1948 in Ranger, TX the daughter
of the late Delbert & Velma Edwards Cozart. She graduated
from Ranger High School in the Class of 1966. In July of
1967, she married Ray Kanady in Ranger. Ellen was a member
of the Leon River Cowboy Church and was actively involved
in many aspects of the church. Ellen never missed any event
that her children and grandchildren were involved in.
She was preceded in death by parents, son Kevin Kanady,
brothers Don Cozart (RHS-1953) & Kenneth Grice (RHS-1957).
At the time of her death, survivors include: husband Ray
Kanady of Carbon; sons Chad Kanady and wife Sarah of Eastland,
Jeff Kanady & wife Carroll of Breckenridge; brothers Dale
Cozart (RHS-1958) & wife Carol (RHS-1960) of Cisco, Delbert
Cozart (RHS-1970) & wife Patti of Little Elm; sisters Loretta
Pelfrey (RHS-1973) of Stephenville, Norma McDonald (RHS-1977)
& husband James of Breckenridge, Billie Jean Rogers (RHS-1963)
of Ranger; granddaughters Kinley and Karlee; grandsons Kyler
and Connor; and numerous nieces, nephews and adopted grand-
children.
