Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1962

James Woodruff JAMES E. WOODRUFF, 67, of Dallas and formerly of Ranger, died on September 6, 2008, in the Dallas Veterans Hospital. Burial was with military honors at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. James was born on July 14, 1941 in Cameron, TX, to Luther and Francis Rose Woodruff. He attended Ranger High School, and entered the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam for 3 years and then with the U.S. Marine Corps for 7 years. After 10 years in the military he moved to Dallas were he worked for Premier Foundations Corp and later for the Veterans Administration. James was a member of the Calvary Way Church in Dallas. James is survived by a son, Jamie Burnett of Dallas; his mother Francis Woodruff of Ranger; a brother Luther Woodruff Jr. (RHS-1960) of Ratcliff, KY; two sisters Arma Jean Woodruff (RHS-1964) of Dallas and Frances Simien (RHS-1959) of Sunisun City, CA; four grand- children and four nieces and nephew; Michelle, Marlin, Michael Woodruff, Shawn Woodruff, and Yolanda Simien, and four great nieces and nephews.
