Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1960

Lonnie Pennington LONNIE VEE PENNINGTON, 40, of Eastland, TX, died of cancer on March 2, 1982 in Eastland County. He was born on May 15, 1941 to Ira Vee and Nancy Howell Pennington in Eastland County. He attended Hodges Oak Park School and Ranger High School in the Class of 1960 at Ranger, TX. Lonnie married Marilynne Sue Ames and they had two children; a daughter and a son. His younger twin brothers were Bobby Pennington & Raymond Pennington. He also had another brother, John Pennington. MOTHER: NANCY HOWELL PENNINGTON, 88, passed from this life to the next, at home with family, on Feb. 7, 2013. Interment was at Eastland Cemetery. Nancy was born July 2, 1924 at Lamesa, TX. Her family later moved to Ranger. She married Ira V. Pennington on July 4, 1940 in Ranger. She was an active member of the Ranger Church of God for many years. Nancy and Ira had four boys and one girl: Lonnie (RHS-1960), Raymond, Bobby, John, and Latisha. Nancy dedicated her life to God, her family, and to helping others. She was loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, and being with family and friends. She is survived by Bobby Pennington and his wife Nancy of Briar, TX, John Pennington of Olden, Latisha Pennington of Ft. Worth, daughter-in-law Sue Pennington of Eastland, and daughter-in-law Marcella Pennington (RHS-1966) of Ranger. Nancy is also survived by ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. BROTHER: RAYMOND RAY PENNINGTON, 60, of Eastland, TX, died on May 14, 2004. He was born on April 10, 1944 in Dawson County to Ira Vee & Nannie Howell Pennington. He attended Hodges Oak Park School in Ranger with his twin brother, Bobby Pennington, and would have been in the Class of 1964. Raymond married Marcella Sharp (RHS-1966). His other brothers were Lonnie Pennington (RHS-1960) and John Pennington. BROTHER: BOBBY JOE PENNINGTON, 69, of Briar, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 7, 2013, with burial in Azleland Cemetery. Bobby was born to the late Ira and Nancy Howell Pennington on the 4th month of the 10th day of 1944 in Lamesa, TX. In 1968, Bobby met Nancy Henegar Wheeler and her four small children, and in February of 1969, they became a family. Bobby was a dedicated christian, husband, and father. He worked in the trucking industry as a skilled diesel mechanic. He enjoyed going to church, playing his guitar, singing songs about Jesus, and riding his motorcycle. At the time of his death, Bobby was survived by his wife, Nancy Pennington of Briar; children: Lisa Blanchard of Fort Worth, Keith Wheeler and wife Julie of Glen Rose, Teresa Kenney and husband Billy of Briar, Bobby Ray Pennington and wife Tonya of Weatherford, Belinda Pennington of Azle, and Suzan (Bitty) Fields of Briar; grandchildren: Kimberly Mora of Fort Worth, Jeremy Wheeler of Agua Dulce, Amanda Meacham of Ranger, Kandi Wheeler of Dallas, Joshua Wells of Fort Worth, Matthew Morgan of DeLeon, Michael Wells of Fort Worth, Telisha Huerta of Eastland, Krysten Russell of Stephenville, Crystal Showalter of Reinshold, PA, Courtney Pennington of Denver, CO, McKayla Pennington of North Richland Hills, Nicholas Sharp of Azle, Crystal Rodriguez of Fort Worth, Jensen Woolfolk of Azle, Denim Fields of Briar, and Diesel Fields of Briar; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Johnny Pennington of Olden; & a sister, LaTisha Pennington of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by both parents; his twin brother, Raymond Pennington, & brother, Lonnie Pennington (RHS-1960).
