JERRY DON "JAKE" BASHAM, 72, died in an Abilene
hospital on March 21, 2012. Burial was at Evergreen
Cemetery in Ranger.
Jake was born in Ranger, TX, on January 15, 1940 to
Hammock Ray and Wilma L. Blackwell Basham. He
graduated from Ranger High in 1959 and entered the
US Air Force serving from 1960 to 1964. He married
Teresa Huling (RHS-1968) in Carbon, TX in August of
1974. He was a self employed pipeline welder for
many years he was also employed by WTU as a pipeline
supervisor until his retirement.
Jake was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother
Donald Roy Basham, and an infant son Roy Don Basham.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife,
Teresa Lynn Basham, of the home; one daughter Stacy
(RHS-1994) and husband Jason Bowen (RHS-1994) of Fort
Worth, TX; one son Roy L. (RHS-1998) & wife Amy Basham
of Lubbock; 5 granddaughters, Jenna, Katie, and Allie
Bowen, and Kennedy and Darely Basham.
