REV. ALBERT JEFFERSON HARRIS, 80, of
Crockett, TX passed away Oct. 19, 2017 at his
residence, with interment in Weches Cemetery.
Albert was born June 26, 1937 in Crockett to parents,
Moses L. Harris, Sr. & Lottie Bernice Moseley Harris.
He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1957
at Ranger, TX and served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Brother Albert was a minister and retired from the
Texas Department of Transportation. He was a member
of the Friday Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, M. L. & Bernice
Harris; brother, M.L. Harris, Jr.; sister, Lottie
Lenager; great-grandson, Chase Baker.
Albert is survived by wife of 59 years, Helen Jones
Harris of Crockett; children, Mary White and husband,
Johnny of Crockett; Danny Harris and wife, Cecilia
of North Zulch, Sandra Haynes and husband, Steve of
Crockett, Steven Harris & wife, Charlotte of Hudson,
twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren;
sister, Martha Harris Cantrell (RHS-1957) of Sugar
Land; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
