DARRELL GENE HAMILTON, 54, was in the Ranger High
School Class of 1950 and attended Ranger Jr. College
at Ranger, TX after he had moved to Chillicothe. He
was born on Sept. 9, 1933, to William & Winnie Hamilton.
He had a sister, Leota Fay Hamilton (RHS-1946) who
married Jake Harrison. Gene was a cousin to Price Rose,
also RHS Class of 1950, and they were stationed in the
U.S. Army at Fort Bliss, TX, at the same time. Gene
moved to Houston after the two year Army tour in 1955.
He was a fireman for the railroad until he retired. He
was living out from town at Conroe in his retirement
and was listed as living in Kerrville when he died in
June of 1987. He had a son.
