RICHARD C. HODGES graduated Ranger High School with
the Class of 1949 and also attended Ranger Jr. College
at Ranger, TX. He was born on Nov. 20, 1931, to Neil
& Ethel Hodges.
He did some rodeo photographic work but in 1957 went to
Alaska to work with his father as a carpenter. He was
living in Delta Junction, Alaska, when he died on May 24,
2003. He married Patricia Laduke and they had two sons
and one daughter and eight grandchildren, all of Delta
Junction. He broke a leg which ended his carpentry work
and his home at Delta Junction burned down in 1997 so
life in Alaska was not easy but it was where he wanted
to be for he never returned to Texas. He was cremated
& his ashes were to be scattered at his favorite fishing
hole near Delta Junction. He had a sister, Joyce Marie
Hodges Boyd (RHS-1950) who lives in Moran, TX.
