Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1945 RJC

Charles Cox CHARLES LOUIS COX, 81, passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2008 in Provo, UT, with interment at Lake Hills Cemetery. Born to James & Geneva Cox in Ranger, TX on Dec. 14, 1926. Attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1945 and served in the U.S. Navy in his early years, after which he moved to Salt Lake City where he joined the LDS Church, to which he remained a faithful member throughout his life. He married Patricia Hancey and they raised a family together until Pat passed away. Charlie later married Donna Faye Williams and they enjoyed 21 years together. They served two church missions in Ireland and Spain. They lived in Kanab for a time and finally settled in St. George. Charlie enjoyed reading, traveling, especially to see family, and working on genealogy. Preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; son, Kent Hancey; and sister, Norma Jean Rose. He will be missed by his wife Donna; sister Patsy Wheeler Knight, brother-in-law Jerry Rose; children Martha (Maurice) Johnson, Bountiful; Tim (Karla) Cox, Bismarck, ND; Elizabeth (Kerry) Winn, Sandy; Andy (Lesa) Cox, Orem; stepchildren, Karen Anglesley, Colleen (Marty) Oviatt, Alan (Terri) Gren, Deanne (Junior) Wolf, Tiffany (Doug) McLaws; 34 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
