J.D. CHRISTAIN, 77, passed away in Salt Lake
City, UT on Jan. 6, 2004, with interment at
Mountain View Memorial Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 16, 1926 in Ranger, TX and was
the son of Stella & Joe Day Christian. J.D.
graduated from Ranger High School in 1945 and
joined the U.S. Army. He spent most of his
service time with the 77th division in Hokkaido,
Japan. After returning home he met and married
Pauline Watson. They shared 56 happy years
together. After joining the LDS church their
marriage was solemnized in the Mesa, AZ temple.
Pollye and J.D. spent most their married life
in Plainview, TX where he opened a tile con-
tracting business.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline, brother
Lloyd Peery, TX; sister Saundra Wagley, CA;
children, David and Lorraine Christian, Kanab;
Diane and Terry Roylance, Salt Lake City; grand-
children: Carrie, Jaccie, Hollie, Stephanie,
Jennifer, Aimee, and Bryan; and nine great-
grandchildren.
