WILLIAM L. "BILL" THOMAS, 88, died Dec. 22,
2012 in Breckenridge, TX, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Mr. Thomas was born on Jan. 9, 1924 in Navarro,
TX, to William Reese Thomas & Eula Lee Williams
Thomas. He attended Ranger High School in the
Class of 1943 and married Odalee Shugart in Dec.
of 1948 in Lubbock, TX. He worked as a welder
and was a member of the Elliott Street Church
of Christ. He served his country in the U.S.
Navy and was a Veteran of WWII.
At the time of his death, survivors include his
wife, Odalee Thomas of Breckenridge; son, Alan
Stuart Thomas (RHS-1970) and wife, Marilyn
of Clyde; three grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son,
Stephen Thomas (RHS-1968); five sisters; and
two brothers. Hazel Thomas Hale (RHS-1937) and
Anna Thomas Stallings (RHS-1927) were his sisters.
