LOIS JANES BURNS, 74, formerly of Ranger, TX died
in April of 1999 in a local hospital in Fairborn,
OH, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger
TX.
Mrs. Burns was born in Ranger and raised in Morton
Valley and Colony. He attended Ranger High School
in the Class of 1943 and married Elton M. Burns in
in 1946. She lived in Abilene until 1983 when she
moved back to Ranger. She was a housewife, a member
of the Second Baptist Church in Ranger. She wrote
songs and poetry. She had one son, Ronald Burns;
and one daughter, Karen Burns Gieger.
