Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1941

JAMES VONCILE EAKIN, 63, was born in Ranger, TX on March 21, 1923 & died there in Sept. of 1986. He was in the Ranger High School Class of 1941. He was the son of Anolia Elizabeth Johnson and Carl F. Eakin, Sr. He had one sister and five brothers, Desma Medoria Wadsworth (RHS-1957); Carl F. Eakin, Jr. (RHS-1938) of Yoakum, TX; Bobby Ray Eakin (RHS-1945); Billy Eakin (RHS-1948) of Reno, NV; John Franklin Eakin (RHS-1951) & Hugh Alexander Eakin (RHS-1961), of the San Francisco, CA, Bay area. His wife was Amalia Eakin. Survived by their twin daughters Anolia V. Eakin Torrans and Maria Gladys (both of RHS-1986), also three grandchildren. WIFE: AMALIA B. EAKIN, 74, died on Nov. 11, 2007, in Carencro, LA. Mourning her departure are: her two daughters, Anolia V. Eakin Torrans (RHS-1986) (Chris Torrans) of Lafayettte, La., and Maria Gladys Jackson-Murley (RHS-1986) (Michael Murley) of Salina, TX; three grand-children, Austin Torrans, Bethany Torrans and Noah Cole; two sisters, Cecille Young and Zenaida Vasquez, both of Jacksonville, NC; & other immediate family residing in the Phillipines. Mrs. Eakin was preceded in death by her husband James V. Eakin (RHS-1941). Survived by her twin daughters Anolia V. Eakin Torrans and Maria Gladys Eakin (both of RHS-1986), also three grandchildren.
