BETTY JANE PATTERSON OWNBY, 86, died on May 3,
2006, in Graham, TX, with burial at Evergreen
Cemetery in Ranger, TX
She was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Henrietta, TX to
Robert B. & Mollie Patterson. She attended Ranger
High School in the Class of 1937 and married
J.C. Ownby (RHS-1941) who died in 1995. In 1961,
she moved to Graham from Eagle Mountain Lake.
She was a homemaker & a member of the Memorial
Christian Church in Graham.
Survivors at the time of her death include one
daughter, Mollie Arrell of Graham; two brothers,
Robert Patterson (RHS-1938) of Graham and Roy
Patterson (RHS-1943) of Gustine; five grand-
children & seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C.
Ownby; two sons, Joseph Clark Ownby Jr. & Frank
Gibson; and one grandson, R.J. Hearne. Her sisters
were Anna Patterson Gray (RHS-1930) and Margaret
Patterson McMichael (RHS-1932).
