Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1937

HOMER LEE WIESEN, 74, died on Feb. 12, 1992 in Denton, TX. He was born on June 13, 1917, in Denton, TX, to Joseph "Joe" & Ollie Simmons Wiesen. Homer attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1937 at Ranger, TX & married Katherine Hinnard in 1947. She died in 2000. His siblings were Helen Wiesen Donowho (RHS-1938), Robert Wiesen (RHS-1941), Fred Wiesen, Laura Wiesen Forbes (RHS-1945) & Edward Wiesen (RHS- 1945). SON: HOMER MAX WIESEN, 75, died unexpectedly July 27th, 2023 at his home in Denton, TX. He was born June 15, 1948 in Ranger, TX; the son of Homer Lee & Katherine Hinnard Wiesen. After graduating from Denton High School, Max completed his Business Degree at The University of Texas, Ft. Worth, and followed that to receive his CPA in 1978. Mr. Wiesen was also a member of the Texas National Guard. Max opened his private accounting practice in 2004, and worked as an auditor for the Audit Compliance Corporation, State of Texas in Austin. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 16th at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, TX. Those who wish to remember Max in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the MA Center, 3952 Reining Road, Aubrey, TX 76227. BROTHER: FRED W. WIESEN, 81, of Ranger, TX died on March 1, 2005 in Abilene, TX, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger. Mr. Wiesen was born on July 30, 1923 in Dallas to Ollie Simmons and Joe Wiesen. He served in the Army 142nd Infantry during WWII. He married Ella Nora McGraw in Oct. of 1946 in Eastland. He worked as an upholsterer for many years in Ranger and in Breckenridge at Baxley Manufacturing. In recent years he worked with his son Freddy at his garage & was a Baptist. Fred most likely attended Ranger High School but no records found. He is survived by his wife Ella Nora of the home, son Freddy Wiesen of Ranger, grandson Jason Wiesen (RHS-1993), brothers Robert Wiesen (RHS-1941) of Odessa and Ed Wiesen (RHS-1945) of Olney, sisters Helen Donowho (RHS-1938) of Sheffield and Laura Forbes (RHS-1945) of Hurst & several nieces and nephews.
