Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1934 RJC

Dorothy O'Donnell Perryman DOROTHY ELIZABETH O'DONNELL PERRYMAN, longtime Alpine & Brewster County resident, passed away on May 19, 2019 at the tender age of 102 at her home in Alpine, TX, with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery at Alpine. Mrs. Perryman was born in Wirt City, OK (also known as Ragtown) on Feb. 2, 1917 to J.A. & Sophia Conway O'Donnell. She attended St. Rita's School, Ranger High School in the Class of 1934, & Ranger Jr. College at Ranger, TX. Dorothy married W.H. "Jack" Perryman. She taught in the Alpine Independent School District for 31 years, and served as the high school basketball coach. She received her undergraduate degree in home economics (homemaking) from Texas Women?s University & a Master of Education from Sul Ross State University. Once retired, Dorothy & Jack loved to travel the USA and Canada, while pulling their iconic Airstream travel trailer. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting, and she spent many hours playing bridge with her beloved friends at the Sunshine House. She is preceded in death by her husband, W.H. "Jack" Perryman, her parents, and five brothers. Those left to honor and cherish her wonderful memory and life are one nephew and five nieces. Her siblings were James Albert O'Donnell, Eugene O'Donnell (RHS-1932), Victor O'Donnell, Francis O'Donnell, and Robert O'Donnell (RHS-1939).
