DESMA JOHNSON LAQUEY, 89, of Denton formerly
of Ranger, TX died on uly 16, 2002 at Denton
Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with burial
at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1913 in Rising Star,
TX, to Sam & Ruth Johnson Clark. She attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1930. She
married Boyd Laquey in May of 1941. He preceded
her in death in 1981. She was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Ranger.
Survivors at the time of her death are a daughter,
Dee Ann Justus and husband Bill of Denton; one
grandson, Boyd Curry and wife Lori; and two great-
grandchildren, Anthony Curry & Barbara Ann Curry.
