ERNEST FRANKLIN SHELTON, 94, was born Dec. 7,
1907 to Mr. & Mrs. G.W. Shelton of Ranger, TX. He was
in the Ranger High School Class of 1926 & also attended
Ranger Jr. College. His brother was Arthur Loyd Shelton
(RHS-1934).
At one time, he owned Shelton's Ice Cream Parlor but it
was operated by his brother, Arthur while Ernest ran a
milk homogenizing operation. Their sister, Pearl Shelton,
had worked at Jiggs Cafe and died in 1986, while living
at Greenville, TX. Later, Ernest Shelton was principal
owner of Shelton Music Company in Odessa, TX. He was
living at Glen Rose when he died on July 15, 2002.
