Insurance Services Office (ISO) has submitted a recommendation to change your city's
Public Protection Classification (PPC).  Currently, the city's classfication is 7/9,
Insurance Services Office is recommending that the classification be changed to 5/9,
the effective date of the recommended change is 12-1-98. The recommendation is based
on a survey of your city performed on 5-6-98. Public protection classifications range
from 1 (best) to 10 (worst). We have reviewed the information provided and believe it
is sufficient to grant approval. Enclosed is a summary sheet indicating the point
totals for the major areas associated with this survey. We will notify Insurance
Services Offices of our approval of the recommendation and the 12-01-98 effective
date on September 23, 1998.  Any comments by your city regarding this change should
be provided to the Department prior to September 23rd.
