Black Sabbath's Paranoid is one the greatest all-time heavy metal cd's ever made. It helped to create what metal is. This cd is full of awesome songs. I can't really even pick a favorite song because there are so many great ones. There is of course, the killer classic title song, Paranoid. Man that song has stood the test of time very well so far, and people are still doing covers of it(the best I have heard is Megadeth'd version). Then there is the slow, yet heavy and hypnotic Iron Man. To me, that song defines heavy metal of the 1970's. War Pigs is another wonderful song that really gets you moving. I also really enjoy Hand of Doom and Electric Funeral. Even though they are not classics, they are very good, in fact Hand of Doom is one my favorites(it is too hard to pick one favorite). I love how it starts off really slow with the bass, then it gets hard and fast, and then it ends with the bass again. There is one song that really gets on my nerves though, and that is Rat Salad. I just don't like anything about that song. Every time that song comes on I have to change it or I will go insane. Man, I cannot stand that song. But that is really my only complaint. WAIT!!! I almost forgot about Planet Caravan. Most people just look at it like a stupid song with wierd sounding vocals, but I think it is an awesome song. It is really slow and hypnotic. A truely cool song. Well, with that, I have finsished my review. Please purchase this cd if you do not have it. There are just too many great songs on here to pass it up. And, you might even like Rat Salad.
