Travelling SOUTH on Interstate 35 (i.e. from Dallas):
Take the Hwy 183 ("Lampasas") exit and STAY on access road. Travel under 183 thru traffic light and Dick Clark's will be on your RIGHT, just past Bennigan's restaurant and Sumner Suites hotel.
Travelling NORTH on IH35 (i.e. from San Antonio): Take the Hwy 183 SOUTH exit ("Anderson Lane / Lamar") and move to the far left lane and take the U-turn. At the end of the U-turn, you'll see Bennigan's, Sumner Suites and Dick Clark's on your right.
Travelling SOUTH on Hwy 183:
Take the I35 NORTH ("Waco"), NOT SOUTH
Travelling NORTH on Hwy 183:
Take the I35 NORTH ("Waco") exit. Move over to the left turn lane to get onto
the IH35 South access road. Turn onto the access road and you'll see Dick
Clark's on your right.

Travelling NORTH on IH35 (i.e. from San Antonio) A FEW OPTIONS FOR YOU:
#1 Easiest: Take the BRAKER exit and go LEFT onto Braker (WEST). Follow
Braker ALLLLLLL the way down, and over MoPac / Loop 1 highway and you'll see
the Hampton on your right, next to the Texaco and the Burger King.
#2 Fastest: Take the 183 NORTH exit (the TALL exit ramp) and follow it to the
MoPac / Loop 1 exit and take MoPac NORTH. Exit onto Braker Lane and turn left
(West) onto Braker. Hampton Inn will be on your right and is visible from
MoPac.
OR...
#2B Take 183 North exit, follow 183 North to the Braker exit. Exit Braker
and turn right onto Braker (you'll see Einstein Brother's bagelry and Boston
Market at the corner there). Follow Braker all the way down until you see
Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn and Burger King all clustered together on your
left. Watch for the turn lane as there is a concrete median and you don't
want to miss the turnoff ;).

Travelling NORTH on Interstate 35 (i.e. from San Antonio):
Take the 15th Street exit and turn left onto 15th Street (you can only turn
left / West onto 15th). You'll see a hospital on your left when you first get
onto 15th. The Frank Erwin Event Center (looks like a big drum) will be on
your right as you travel down 15th. You will pass Red River, Trinity, San
Jacinto , Brazos, Congress (see the capitol on your left!) and Colorado
streets. As you come up to Lavaca street, you will see the hotel on your
left. Turn left onto Guadalupe street (the next street past Lavaca) and then
turn immediately into the hotel's front drive. You can unload at the front
door of the hotel and then drive slowly up to the far end of the hotel and
turn right into the secured garage area (look for screened gate that will
open). Warning: the parking garage for the hotel is UNDERGROUND and is very
skinny / hard to drive into! Those with large vehicles like Suburbans and
other big trucks will probably want to park on the street or in one of the
state parking lots within a few blocks (both are free). The ballroom will be
just inside the front door of the hotel, to your left. Keep in mind that a
free shuttle is available on a REQUESTED first-come first-serve basis (just tell me and
we'll put you on the list) for those who would rather catch a ride from the
Hampton Inn early that morning.
