Grand Forks AMB site

This is an aerial photo of RSL-4. You can see the silo field, the white dots are silo covers. There is a double security fence surrounding the field. To the East of that is the launcher building with the enterance tunnel to the North. Farther East is the Guard building.

This is the enterance to the RSL. The whole site surrounded by the outer security fence except for the sewage lagoon. I guess they don't care if you get in there, Yuck! Inside this fence is the guard building with fence on both sides of that. You have to enter through the building or the gate across the road next to it.

The back side of the building has three garage doors. You guessed it after two decades of being shut down, even the trucks are gone. Your guess is as good as mine, but I'd say it housed maintenence vehicles and/or guard vehicles. Once inside the fence you had access to the launch building. Also the Sprint launchers, but not before going through two more fences.

Once inside the guard building you had to walk through the ROBOT turnstyle. It looks like it had an electro-mechanical lock on it that used to work. Also behind the chain link window were the controls for the gates and the turnstyle. The phone had direct lines to the MSR and PAR.
