EXPERIENCE

U. S. NAVY 1971 - 1991

Navy Supply Corps Officer with twenty year’s management experience in Logistics, Maintenance, Material Control, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources.

As Assistant Administration Department Head Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas, responsibilities included training officers and enlisted personnel, counseling enlisted personnel on pay, benefits, career opportunities, and personal financial management. Facilitated instruction on Military Rights and Responsibilities, Leadership and Management Education, and Sexual Harassment in the Navy. Supervised the activities of the Military Support Division for all enlisted personnel assigned to NAS Kingsville. Served on the Command Assessment Team and advised the Commanding Officer concerning enlisted personnel issues.

While assigned to the staff of Commander Amphibious Squadron Twelve I served as liaison for three major staffs, Commander Naval Surfaces, Atlantic, Commander Naval Aviation, Atlantic, and Commander Amphibious Group TWO regarding aviation and surface logistic support matters. During my tenure as Aviation Support Officer onboard USS IWO JIMA (LPH-2) I was responsible for the inventory management and support of twenty-four Marine helicopters. Planned, scheduled, and coordinated the consolidated movement of personnel, cargo, and retrograde materials for fifteen amphibious ships while deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and Persian (Desert Shield/Desert Storm) Gulf.

THE BOEING COMPANY

(formerly MCDONNELL DOUGLAS CORPORATION)1992 - 1998

Two (2) years of Quality Assurance experience within McDonnell Douglas Corporation in Integrated Logistics Support/Product Support for the T45TS Contractor Logistics Support Program as the Supply Quality Assurance Inspector. Coordinated all Supply Quality Assurance requirements within the CLS organization to the Customer's satisfaction. Instituted procedures and documentation to support the performance of Supply/Maintenance and Quality Assurance to ensure a "TOTAL" quality program utilizing Military-Specifications, Military-Standards, and ISO 9000.

Four (4) years of Supply Chain Management and Material Control support for the T45TS program. Initially hired as the Inventory Control Manager, later transferred to the position of Requirements Control Manager. Responsible for all material support for the T45TS pilot training program. Instrumental in the development of policies and procedures for procurement through MDC and the Federal (government) Supply System. Coordinated efforts for the management of the Repair of Repairables and Retrofit programs for (T45A) aircraft and simulators. Managed an inventory valued at sixty- five (65 ) million dollars.

Headed software and hardware implemetation team for the T45TS supply department. Coordianted implementation efforts with T45TS Information Systems Department and Western Pacific Data Systems, Lo Jolla, Ca.

PLANTER'S CO-OP 1998 - 1998

Bookkeeper responsible for maintaining a complete systematic record of all transactions. Experienced in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost verification, and preparation of detailed reports.

Sikorsky Aircraft 11/98 - Present

Contract consultant in aerospace logistics and operations. Currently drafting a reply to the Navy’s request for proposal on the T-45 pilot training program. Developing processes and procedures to provide a full range of logistics support to flight operations and maintenance activities. Drafted organizational charts depicting the control of all aspects of inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.

HOME DEPOT 07/99 – Present

Perform customer service, resolve customer issues, identify merchandise to Universal Product Codes, prepare pricing adjustments, handle special services to include: special orders, will calls, deliveries, and installation services.

PERSONAL

I feel that my best attribute is my ability to act as a troubleshooter and liaison between diverse work groups and develop plans of attack and milestone charting to arrive at the most effective procedure or process for all groups. I make this attainable by group participation and teamwork. I am extremely adept at integrating all elements required for support of a project and making sure the common goals of the customer and company is attained.
