A message to my brother

Dear Reader,

This is an open letter, written to my brother Kevin. We have never had the chance to meet, I only learned of his existence in 1987. All I know is that he was born (in California), may have been adopted by his stepfather, and is not listed on the SSDeathIndex

Dear Kevin,

First and foremost...I hope and pray that someday fate will allow our paths to cross. Having a true sibling (a brother at that!) is a concept that is new to me. Although I grew up with a brother in my home, we both knew we weren't really related to each other. We love each other, but bear no resemblence to each other.

Now, about me...your little sister! I'm petite, with dark hair and eyes. I work at two jobs, as a waitress during the day and a webdesigner at nite. Actually, without this search-I doubt I would have ever discovered webdesign. You are looking at my first site; but there are many others now. This search has shaped my life in innumerable ways. I moved to the State of Texas in 1985 to raise my children with clean air and water...but I will always be a Californian to the bone! My husband and I have been married for 16 years...and we have three children. Meeting my children when they were born was a unique experience-I had never met anyone that looked like me. I have been a member of the Bahai Faith since 1983. Currently I live on the north shore of a lake, enjoy horses and love to exercise my creative side.

My mind is full of things to say to you. I do this search to complete our circle. I want nothing more than to make your aquaintance. I hope you live in happiness and lite. I hope you and yours are healthy. I hope your life is good. (Those are just the begining) I would love to see your family pics.

My a-parents are wonderful people, I am not searching because of a miserable childhood, or any personal lack of family support. They have stood by me thru all-I would love for them to meet you also, Mom has always been curious about you. She is the person that told me about you. They are elderly now, Dad is missing too many brain cells and soon we will have to let him go. They have backed me as their daughter, and eldest child-every step of the way, if Norma had any say in the choice of my parents, then she did well.

In an effort not to overwhelm you, I will end this letter now. May you walk in grace and light.

With love, your little sister,
Andrea
