Welcome to My Corner of the World

Hi there! Thanks for taking a moment to stop by. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 26 years old and live in a suburb of Dallas called Flower Mound. I have lived here since 1984 and so most say I am a Texan. But I was born and spent the first part of my life in Waukegan, Illinois. This would be where I claim to be from.

In May of 1998 I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. While attending Sam Houston I was a member of the Delta Chi Chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association - Lambda Alpha Epsilon. I was able to serve as Fundraising Chairman in Fall of 1997 and Secretary in Spring of 1998. It was a fun time and I am glad I went to Sam Houston and will always cherish the memories I made.

In my spare time, now that I have some, I have been working with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and the Order of the Eastern Star. I was a member of Rainbow for over 9 years. I served the Order with 3 Grand Offices which were: Grand Confidential Observer, Junior Member of the Grand Executive Committee, and Junior Member of the Grand Music Committee. Now as an adult, I am a member of the Advisory Board and Assembly Webmaster.Dallas Assembly #33

In August of 1998 I began dating a wonderful man named Jeremy. On June 18, 1999 he proposed and we were married on October 7, 2000. Check out our wedding page for pictures of this hapy day! Shannon & Jeremy's Wedding. We were friends in high school and met up again after I graduated college. He graduated from UNT in August of 2001 with a degree in computer science.

I have recently decided to make a change for the positive and loos weight. I figure I need to do this before we start trying to have a family. I have decided to follow the Weight Watcher Plan. You can follow progress on my WW Journey by following this link.
