Goldi is a accelerant detection canine who has been trained to sniff out the most common accelerants used in fire scenes. He is an 80-pound German Shepherd from Germany. Goldi worked for the Texas State Fire Marshal's office from December 1994 until March 2000. Since March 2000, Goldi has been employed by the Tarrant County Fire Marshal's office. In his free time, Goldi performs at public fire safety presentations, works on his required training and just plays around like a normal dog. Goldi loves swimming and tearing things up on his days off. Goldi is available for use by all of the cities in Tarrant County.
