Offspring

When I was first exploring the ways in which MSPaint could be exercised to handle the colors of sunset, my children discovered what their father was doing and insisted that I draw them into it. Little did they know I'd forever be able to blackmail them with the caricatures.

On Chili

I've been in the process of slowly converting my collection of links to Chili-related webpages to Angelfire. There are still a few problems with these but you can find the recipes well enough.

My mystery quotation

Sometimes, the past come backs to haunt you in unexpected ways. The first time I heard this, so much of the meaning had been unrealized. It is now a favored quotation of mine, but I don't know who the original author is. If you happen to recognize it, I'd appreciate a message.

"Gather each of the dropped petals
from the spent flowers of your life's treasures
and reintoxicate yourself remembering the fragrance
when they first came to you.
And tell those you love
how much they mean to you each day,
even when you are not so inclined."

Another poet's words

While I'm at it, here's another piece written by someone else. Yes, I know who the author is; you don't need to send me anything for this one.

Love is patient;
love is kind;
love is not envious
nor boastful
nor arrogant
nor rude.

It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice in wrongdoing,
but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things

... and love never ends.

1 Corinthians 13:4-10
