SAGenWeb Cemeteries Project HARVEY'S RETURN - Kangaroo Island SA This little cemetery lies at the side of the road to Cape Borda Lighthouse just above the start of the bush track that leads to Harvey's Return on the Western end of Kangaroo Island. It is surrounded by picturesque natural bushland and has a silver- painted wrought iron fence surrounding the gravesites, with a row of treated pine stumps outside the iron fence. Memorials within range from ornate white marble headstones to simple white painted wooden crosses. Bronze Plaque laid in stone outside Cemetery Fence:- HARVEY'S RETURN CEMETERY This cememtery is the resting place of sixteen persons who lived at the Cape Borda Lighthouse complex. The earliest contemporary record is the burial of Captain Woodward on 13th September 1858.
