As the Lord continues to do powerful things here at
Hope Chapel, God has also continued to give us
increased vision for the future. In this letter we hope to
impart to you a part of this vision. In Jesus Name....
In the book of Ephesians Paul writes that the various
offices of the Holy Spirit are given to help equip the
saints for the works of the ministry (serving).
Our first and foremost goal is to help impart vision to
the saints, that the members of the body of Christ may
see the pathway that leads toward the works in which
God has pre-destined for us to do.
Our secondary goal is to help the saints understand
that we all are anointed in Christ Jesus and that the
members of the body of Christ can walk in the fullness
of the Holy Spirit, showing and demonstrating not only
the fruits of the Spirit, but, also operating in the gifts of
the Spirit.
Our third goal is to encourage the saints to service,
which Paul considered only reasonable, for we are
saved to serve. God expects us to serve and not only
that, but we should serve with exceeding joy, knowing
that God rewards those who diligently seek Him and the
purposes of His kingdom.
As a fourth goal we desire to encourage the saints to
faithfulness (in all areas) that they may increase (in all
areas). Not to increase only in spiritual areas (not that I
desire to minimize the importance of spiritual things in
any way), but, for us, as members of the body of Christ,
to realize that Jesus came that we may have life and
have it more abundantly; in the spiritual realm, the
soulical realm (the healing of the mind/will/emotions),
the physical realm, that our human bodies may walk in
health even as our souls prosper, and the natural realm
that we as believers have an abundance of resources to
be a blessing not only to our immediate families, but to
others as well.
And lastly, our goal is to encourage the body of Christ
to be moving consistently towards becoming mature,
unified, and wise believers. That we should no longer
be children tossed to and fro; being carried about by
every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men in the
cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking
the truth in love, that we may grow up in all things unto
Him who is the Head--Jesus Christ!
