Indrema Dream Dies
Indrema president John Gildred, has told Video Business magazine that the Linux-based Indrema L600 console is no more. The system, powered by a 600 MHz CPU and GeForce graphics had tried to lure developers with the promise of open source. However,a lack of interest from game makers and venture capitalists means that the company will lay off its remaining 50 or so staff this week.

FINALBURN DISCONTINUED !
This is very sad news for all the CPS-2 games fans out there(including me).
It seems that Dave (the author of Finalburn) was tired about complains, flames and everything. If you browse to his official webpage or you can read directly to log and log 2 and try to figure out for yourself what happened.

Pac-Man helps control calories
Asahi Soft Drinks will release a new drink dubbed "Asahi Chara" on March 26. In a marketing coup, the drink's package design and advertisement will feature Namco's all-time most popular character, Pac-Man. The background of Asahi Chara's package is colored white so the contrast between the bright yellow of Pac-Man - who is about to gobble up the Chara logo - is excellent. Other ad campaigns, including commercials and magazine advertisements will also feature the classic character. Pac-Man looks like he intends to make greater inroads into other fields by leveraging his "celebrity" status. For further information, check out http://www.namco.co.jp/home/pr/index.html

GBC Emulator for PS2 Coming 3/27/01 15:31
Want to play Game Boy Color games on your PlayStation2? While you can't make Pokemon Silver look like SSX, there's a way ...
UK-based Datel announced plans to ship a Game Boy Color emulator system in the UK. Game Studio allows users to run all Game Boy Color games on PlayStation2, taking advantage of the PS2's bilinear filtering to display the games in high-res, with smoother edges and graded colors.
The emulator comes with eight full-version GBC games: Space Invasion, Karate Joe, Painter, ATV Racing, Full Time, Hang Time, Pocket Smash Out and Race Time, all of which can be downloaded to the included reusable cartridge and played in the GBC.
It also comes with the Action Replay! cheat cartridge, and supports Rumble Pak emulation with the PS2 Dual Shock 2 controller.
Game Studio is slated to ship next month in the UK for 39.99 pounds ($57). There's no word yet on whether the product will ship in the US, but we'll keep you posted.
