A FAMILY TRADITION

LUNA PERCUSSION

A Luna percussionist has been in the family for about 12 years now and continuing. My older brother Jaime was the first. He started the tradition that still goes on today. He was drum corps section leader in high school and has one state medal is snare solo performance. He was awarded outstanding band member his 8th grade year. My other brother, Eli, was next to follow. He went to state all four years of high school and was also drum corps section leader. Then Me. I went to state three times and have three first division state medals. I was also drum corps section leader in high school. Now, the tradition passes on to my cousin Michael. He is an 8th grader in Edinburg and the last I heard was doing very good. He was awarded best 8th grader this past year just like my brother Jaime. I'm so proud of my couz. So as you can tell the tradition of excellence runs in the blood. I am at the present time full-filling one of my all-time dreams and that is marching Drum Corps (DCI). My nephews love to bang on things, so I wonder what they want to play.
