Night of My Desolation

Night of My Desolation: by Daniel Dunham

Falling deeper,
Sinking,
Sins Piled high,
Can't see the light,
Can't even remember,
What the word means.
Happiness,
soaks inside,
Comfort smooths my hard nature.
I have safety,
security,
Fear leaves,
And with it hope.

I pray,
Or do I?
I speak the words,
Echoing through the silence,
Like a moth in maddness!
"Set me on Fire!
Burn me down,
Rip me apart,
Break my life beneath you!!
I WANT TO KNOW YOU ARE REAL!!!
