The River: by Daniel Dunham

If only you would kiss me now,
Like you do in all my dreams..
Reality is but a taste,
Of those almighty themes..
Your love, a tranquil river
Flows for those who dare its roar.
I'm now braver than I was,
As I reach to touch your shore.
I wish to wade your river,
Though the rapids seem to great.
Be engulfed within your beauty.
Test the barriers of fate.
I wish to ride your current,
Soak within your loves embrace,
Drown in your eyes of depth unknown,
As I sink beneath your grace.
