Chaengwattana Community Church

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Chaengwattana Community Church is interdenominational in its worship and belief. As a group of believers in Jesus Christ, we believe ‘The Statement of Faith’ as listed below, is indispensable for genuine Christian Life and Witness. This Statement represents fundamental beliefs to guide and promote Christian growth and maturity.

    1. We believe that God has revealed Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ; and that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, so that they are fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in all they say.

    2. Believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    3. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ; in His deity, in His humanity, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal, future return in power and glory.

    4. We believe that Adam and Eve, our first parents, sinned by rebelling against God’s revealed will and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, and that as a result all human beings are born with a sinful nature that leads them to sin in thought, word and deed.

    5. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, simultaneously, both faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely necessary.

    6. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is equipped for godly living, service and witness.

    7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men; the saved to the resurrection of eternal life; and the lost to the resurrection of eternal punishment.

    8. We believe that the one, holy, universal Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of the communities of Christ’s people.
