Family Photo Album


This is but a small beginning for what is hoped to be an ever-expanding genealogy photo album resource. If you have (and are willing to share) photos of anyone listed in the family trees on Carolyne's Genealogy Helper, please send them to me in jpg (with all pertinent indentifaction information.) I will also be happy to list the name of the contributor. Contributions have been received from Suttons in Kansas and from Arkansa.

With your help, our ancestors likenesses will be available to all the members of their family trees, to be cherished by future generations. Let us not let the paths our ancestors trod be forgotten.

Isaac Hollister TEMPLETON and his wife Jerusha HARMON SUTTON TEMPLETON. (Photo taken circa 1910.) Isaac's real name was "John Dexter Templeton;" but, he took the Christian names Isaac Hollister in honor of the man who raised him. Isaac/John was born 2 August, 1830 in Middle Granville, New York, the son of Andrew TEMPLETON and his wife, Mary. (Surname unknown). Isaac/John is buried in Webster County, Missouri. Jerusha, born 4 March, 1835/6 in Switzerland County, Indiana, was the daughter of John D. SUTTON and Susannah DODGE SUTTON. Photo courtesy of Bruce V. TEMPLETON Isaac and Jerusha TEMPLETON
John D. SUTTON was born 24 February 1805 in New Jersey or Pennsylvania. He married Susannah Dodge. He was the son of John C. Sutton. Known siblings of John D. include Joshua, born 5 January, 1801 and who married Sarah Sally H. WELLS; Daniel, born around 1808 or 1810, who married first a Cynthia (surname unknown) then Sarah BRINSON; Elijah, who married Parmelia Robertson on 20 Dec. 1820; Joseph, who married Mary Sally Polly VAN OSDAL, then Sarah DELLINGER, and then Temperance ANDERSON; and Charles, who married Mary Ann Branson; Lucy Ann, born around 1812 who married Henry N. This lady is Susannah DODGE SUTTON. She was born 11 October, 1810; in Massachusetts. She married John D. SUTTON around the new year of 1827 in Switzerland County, Indiana. John Arthur KEPHART, born 14 Sept. 1878, sleeps quietly in the arms of his mother, Susan Eleanor "Nellie" TEMPLETON KEPHART. Nellie's birthday was 14 Aug., 1859. Her husband, Alexis Elihu "Leck" KEPHART was born 14 Nov. 1852. Nellie died 18 Feb. 1927 and is buried At Cedar Lawn Farm, Wellston, Oklahoma.Photo courtesy of Bruce V.
