Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner is a demineralizer that emulsifies or "breaks up" the dirt in the carpet, turning it back into liquid form. Then it suspends the dirt in the chemical, allowing both the chemical and the dirt to be absorbed by the buffing bonnet. The buffing action of the bonnet creates a static charge that "locks" the chemical into the bonnet and does not redistribue the dirt back onto the carpet! It does not "foam up" and no rinsing is required. It has a winter green scent and is excellent at removing odors from carpet/upholstry. Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner is sprayed directly onto the carpet with a pressure type sprayer (such as used by an exterminator). It requires approximately 1 gallon of chemical per 1000sqft. of carpet to be effective. Most extraction (steam) units use anywhere from 50 to 65 gallons of hot water per 1000sqft! Hot water sets stains, ask any housewife! Buff-Away Carpet CLeaner does not use hot water. Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner uses no water at all, and thus, problems such as stretching, shrinkage, fading and rusting are elimanated. After a Buff-Away cleaning, the carpet is completely dry in 15 to 30 minutes, depending on operator usage and climate.
Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner is not a soap or detergent. It is a synthetic surfactant. No matter how much of a soap can be removed, it still leaves a residue behind in the carpet. This residue never completely dries, it remains tacky and will attract and trap dirt in the carpet. This is why carpets that have been cleaned, seem to get dirty quicker, and need to be cleaned again. It is a downward spiral, the more you clean, the more it needs to be cleaned! Because Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner does not leave any residue behind, the carpets will remain clean much longer, eliminating the need for frequent cleanings. Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner will also remove residues left by prior cleanings and can often bring the carpet back to its original brightness and luster (excluding wear). Because there is no fear of retracking dirt, the carpets can be walked on immediately after a cleaning, even before it's dry.
Buff-Away Carpet Cleaner is 100% bio-degradable. It is non-toxic, non-flamable and OSHA approved. It is a water based chemical and contains no drying agents or other harmful additives and will not change the toxicity or flamability ratings of the carpet.
