ANGLE OF FIRE

One day a long time ago in another age, in a place that scientists call Pangaea, and maybe a place that legend calls Atlantis, a man had a giant stove to provide energy. This was probably his business, for he lived in the far north part of the continent. Then his oven overheated and it exploded. Based on today's situation, he probably had a problem in controlling temperature inside his oven. So he probably devised a method of introducing water inside the hot oven to control the temperature. Evidently, one day his oven really over-heated and he turned on the water and KABOOM!

This oven, back in the past was located at 20 degrees west longitude, 64 degrees 30 minutes north latitude, what is now present day Iceland, which is located atop the Mid Atlantic Ridge. The oven "blew up", or imploded, into three main projectiles.

Background information:

These angles show up again in such areas as the Rutherford alpha scattering experiment. In the picture above is an example of alpha particle tracks in a sample of chlorine gas. Note the right angles of the scattering effect that appears to be a part of a "cube".
