Lara Croft

Lara's packin' heat.

Lara Croft, daughter of Lord Henshingly Croft, was raised to be an aristocrat
from birth. After attending finishing school at the age of 21, Lara's marriage
into wealth had seemed assured, but on her way home from a skiing trip her chartered
plane had crashed deep in the heart of the Himilayas. The only survivor, Lara,
learned how to depend on her wits to stay alive in hostile conditions a world away
from her sheltered upbringing. 2 weeks later when she walked into the village of
Tokakeriby her experiences had had a profound effect on her. Unable to stand
the claustrophobic suffocating atmosphere of upper-class British society, she realized
that she was only truly alive when she was travelling alone. Over the 8 following
years, she acquired an intimate knowledge of ancient civilizations across the globe.
Her family soon disowned their prodigal daughter, and she turned to writing to fund
her trips. Famed for discovering several ancient sites of profound archaeological
interest, she made a name for herself by publishing travel books and detailed journals
of her exploits...

This is supposedly the woman supposedly chosen to play Lara Croft in the
supposedly upcoming Tomb Raider MOVIE.

Lara Croft made her first big hit in '96 with Tomb Raider. She was commissioned
by Natla Corp. to find an age-old artifact called the "Scion". The Scion
was a powerful item that had been split into three pieces by an ancient race.
Mrs. Natla, the owner of Natla Corp, was one of the three powerful leaders of this
ancient race. She was power hungry and greedy, so the other two powerful leaders,
(I'll get their names later) froze her, and buried her. They hid the Scion in
three very different places on the Earth. Lara's journey begins in Peru where
she searches for the first part of the Scion.

The biggest disappointment of TR is the ending. It is pathetic.

In Tomb Raider II, the Dagger of Xian is being pursued by three parties. Lara,
the Tibetan Monks, and a greedy group under a man named Bartolli
Dagger is said to give powers of a Dragon to the one who stabs it into their heart.
Tibetan Monks hid the Dagger deep inside the Great Wall of China, and
they hid the key to the room that held the Dagger in the mountains of Tibet, underneath
their Monastery.

Lara must fight another group of baddies along with the Tibetan Monks who are
protecting the Dagger and the key, because they know of the destructive power it
possesses.
