Our Pet Angels

When you love something the kindest thing you can do is let it go.
This page is dedicated in loving memory of two special furry friends.
Their little hearts and souls outlived their bodies.
Bridgette Monique, Kitty Man, Tyson and Fred-Bird will never be forgotten.

Today (5/6/02) we lost a newer member of our family, Fred-Bird the Love Bird... I never thought much about birds and was never fond of them but this little guy changed my life. My daughter had gotten him originally but found she was afraid of him... After she left home we kept the bird and grew very attached. While he was not going to let us touch him, sit on our finger or anything else (I believe he was caught in the wilds) he wanted to be with us. We tought him to wolf whistle, call the dogs and just enjoyed him. When we let him fly he always flew to the window ledge above my chair and every chance he got he would grab a small stained glass piece and pull it down to fall on me. When I looked up he would jerk back with this look on his face like "Who me? I'm not doing anything." I'll always think about him when looking at those glasses. He taught me a whole new love and respect for birds - something I had thought of only as "things that poop through feathers" before knowing him.

Thank you for making a difference in my life. Fly free my feathered friend.

Our family has had another furry friend go to the Rainbow Bridge... Her name was Tyson, and she was my "Grand-cat". My daughter had her for over 2 years and got her as a kitten. While I can't say Tyson was the most friendliest and loving cat to others but she adored my daughter and was her shadow. While my daughter was at her boyfriends house her roommates let Tyson out. She was ran over by a car. Brandi called me in the middle of the night in hysterics. You always want to protect your children from hurt but I felt so helpless to comfort her.

The Rainbow Bridge

"Just this side of Heaven if a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an
animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that
pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our
special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of
food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable

All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just
as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals
are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss
someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run
and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the
green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotten, and when you and your special friend finally
meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress that
beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together......"

Joined by the Heart

The thoughts of our precious pets never seem to end,
They're our companions, our pals, and our very best friends.
Even when they are fone from earth, we never ever part,
They are always with you, staying in your heart.
A pet is never full of anything other than their love,
And they think of us, when watching from above.
They love us still while up in heaven's sky,
Their spririt still comforts us when we cry.
They send their love and wait for us to join them forever,
That time when you meet again and cross the Bridge together.
And when it happend and you meet again, your are not to part,
You and your pet are together again, joined by the heart.

If It Should Be

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand
Don't let your grief stay your hand
For this day, more than all the rest
Your love and friendship stands the test.

We've had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
Would you want me to suffer so?
When that time comes please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend
But stay beside me to the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time that you will see
The kindnmess that you do for me
Although my tail it's last has waved
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

Do not grieve, it must be you
Who decides this thing to do
We've been so close, we two, these years
Remember joy amoung your tears.
