Absolute Corrupt Power
11-13-98
People are influenced by people in power - authority figures -
because they are either scared or they give up their way of thinking
and fully embrace the teachings of the person(s) or non-person(s) with
the power. This power which an individual or group has can be used in any
way that they so choose, obviously. Thus it is safe to conclude that power
besides being absolute can and by no doubt has been already turned into
negativity by those with malicious intents. Not all power is corrupt,
however, but I believe in some religious instances it has been.
The power of some religious icons, i.e., priests, rabbis, gods,
pastors or devils can be so immense that the followers of said icons
will blindly follow the so called decrees of their icons that it is so
important that the power of the icons not be misused. Consequently, I
believe that the most misused, mis-interpretated religious objects are
bibles. I'm not trying to imply that these pieces of literature are works
of fiction, but that their word is not being used productively in modern
society. Nor, I believe was it ever truly used for anything productive in the
past.
All religions have a dark,
horrid history that most
religious scholars
and church leaders
refuse to accept it or share it with their
congregation. Some may even excuse it
as the work of a few radicals
within their respective churches
causing havoc just to try and
achieve
whatever their goals were.
Or others will simply say, "it was the work of the
Devil." Ha! Typical
justification by the religious
leaders who in their misguided responses
give no justice to the millions that have died in "the name of God" or
"ALA" or whatever deity it may be.
Long ago when our ancestors finally achieved and/or became aware of
their creativeness also came with it the awareness of fear.
Fear had always
been instilled into animals but it was primitive and purely a
derivative
of instinct. Creativeness gave our ancestors the ability to make up
things.
Since there were no logical explanations or imperical studies being done on what
was the cause of the many natural environmental changes in the earth, they
cleverly made up the idea of gods; supernatural beings far superior than them
in every way imaginable.
This was a huge stepping stone in the human evolutionary way of thought.
It forever change their lives and consequently ours.
They unknowingly gave
absolute power to something that they thought had proof existed
but in reality
didn't. It only existed in their minds. The mind in our brains is the only
absolute power. But once that power was compromised and shifted to myth, we
as truly free thinking individuals lost the battle of reason.
But slowly a freethinking, scientific reasoning society will prevail in the decades to come.
Something to ponder on...

Think if during the life of the man called Jesus, the Romans
way of executing wasn't by crucifixion, but instead by hanging. If
this was the case, then Jesus would have been hanged, right? If so, then
don't you think that instead of everyone cherishing the cross and
wearing crucifixes around their necks they would be wearing something
that resembles a noose? Ha Ha. Just THINK!
