Another thing I do is sew. I love to sew my own clothes, and on occasion, for my friends. There is nothing more satisfying than to have someone compliment you on your clothes and to be able to say,"Thanks. I made it," because it invariably impresses people, because very few people sew anymore. It is very gratifing. Many thanks to my mother because she taught me most every thing I know about sewing. She is the seamstress goddess. Added to sewing, I make boxes. "Huh?" you say. Thy're made out of davy board and other book binding materials. They are fairly easy to make (a bit of a pain in the ass, though)and make great presents. My sister, Ellen, would say that a can of Spam beats anything as far a gift giving goes, and I am not one to argue that. If anything isn't, Spam is not the glue of the world, but she seems to think so. My friend, Morgan, taught me how to make the boxes, and for that I am eternally grateful to her. They have saved my gift giving hiney more than once.
