Things I Don't Like About San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas! A strange place to live! I have been stuck here for some 15 years and the more I am here, the more things I find I do not like!

Example #1: Our Road Construction people!
Okay! The way I see it we have one whole team of people to fix the roads and they have about 300 projects to work on so they never finish! It took them a year and a half to fix the main road in my housing area! Why would it take that long? I'll tell you why!
They fix one side of the road the first month and then they drive the heavy construction vehicles over that side trying to fix the other side! By the end of the second month the other side is fixed, but the first one is a mess again! That went on for a very long time! They finally finished, but come on! I am twenty-one years old and I could figure that out! Heavy construction machines are meant to be driven on dirt, not asphalt! Whatever! They got a lot of money for that project!
Here is a much better example!
There is a section of road by Sea World that has been there longer than Sea World! It was set off as a new highway and it was a big deal at one time! Needless to say, 12 years after the highway was announced, they started construction! Four months later do you have any idea what we ended up with? A one mile stretch of highway! You can't go anywhere on that and it is only one way! I have actually ridden on it before and there is absolutely nothing to brag about! If they couldn't afford to build the whole thing, why bother building it at all?

Example #2: Northside Independant School District Police Officers!
Now these guys are a classic group of characters! They drive around in their little cars and they like to harrass students! Too bad the only power they have is on school property! The students don't know that and they don't tell them! I liked to rub that in their face when I was a student at John Jay!
Now the real problem with NISD Police is that they have no real respect for the law! I have quite a few reasons for saying that, but the main one is because when they come to the stop light outside of the school they turn on their lights and siren and then run the light and then slow down again and go to the convience store!
My horror story about them!
Okay! This was a classic! One day during my first period class, the NISDPO's came to my class and dragged me out! They took me up to the room they use for questioning students and plopped me down! Then I was informd that in the morning a student with green hair was seen smoking pot behind a business by the school! A few interesting things about that was that the other student in the room with me had red hair, and the fact that I had dyed my hair blue the night before! They ended up searching my bag and trying to take away one of my CD's by saying it was satanic music! An Electric Hellfire Club CD! What losers! Anyway, they ended up letting me go and they did catch the person, but they had faded green hair and not bright blue ot even red! Justice will someday prevail against those idiots!

Guess what happened today!(10-18-98) I went to the hospital to follow a family friend and while I was standing out side smoking, an ambulance was hit by a car! No damage to the ambulance, but they called another ambulance to the scene to take the person that was being transported to the hospital! An hour later, another ambulance arrived! Come on! This was right in front of a hospital! The ambulance that was hit had its lights on and apparently, the Suburban that side swipped it was trying to cut it off! Pretty smooth of the driver! What a silly town this is!

Another thing here is when it rains, the rain mixes with dust and apparently makes crappy drivers! No matter what time it is, the moment it rains all the idiots have to go somewhere! It is amazing! The highways are covered with accidents and there are millions of close calls all over the place! I guess I know why I doesn't snow here! Geez! That would kill off everybody, wouldn't it?
