George W. Reaves and Family

George W. Reaves was born 10 March 1841. At the time of his birth he lived in Natchitoches Parish, LA., with his parents Green and Jane Johnson and 4 brother and sister’s, Charles Reeves being one of them. On the 18 of October of 1859 he married Licenia Elvira Elizabeth Hall of Gonzales Co., Texas.
Along with his brother Charles, George enlisted in the Civil War as a private. They had joined Captain Benjamin F. Weeks’ Co. C of Willis’ Cavalry Btn. Of Col. T.N. Waul’s Texas Legion, Confederate Army. On 14 March 1904 in Terral, Jefferson Co., OK – George dies and is buried at the Terral Cemetery.
