"Inner Poison"

Temples pulsating, anger rising.
Tightly closed fists, eyes fixed on nothing.
An inner struggle ensues,
To contain the beast within.

A strange, foreign sensation
Traversing through my rigid body.
My muscles twitch irritably.
Is this my blood boiling?

Acid tears spilling forth.
Angrily racing down my face.
Dripping from my jawline,
Clenched tightly in this moment of rage.

An overwhelming urge to bury my fist.
In the wall that I now face.
Overcome by the sense to walk away,
Before bringing myself irreparable disgrace.

Retreating now to the confines of my heart.
A gutteral moan and sobs issue forth.
As sorrow's blood mingles with rage's contempt.
An eruption of pent up emotion.
