Prayer Requests

Andrea

I need your prayers or rather need them on my parents behalf. My dad has been diagnosed with Prostate cancer. It is a very slow growing kind and the doctors caught it very early, so their outlook for him is excellent. He will begin 7 weeks, 5 days a week of radiation treatment soon. It sounds worse than it is, the radiation is drawn over that long because the dosages are so low grade. My dad is really good spirits.

Unfortunately, my mom went to the doctor as well and they discovered that she has two fiberous cysts and a large mass in her uterus and ovaries. She will be operated on in the near future to remove all three and to determine if the mass is cancerous. I will keep you all updated and we would all really appreciate you prayers. Thank you all for your prayers!

Hello all. I just wanted to request your prayers for a friend of mine. She is not in the church but she is really going through some hard times right now. Her name is Flore' (Flo - Ray) and we have known each other since we where about 5 or 6 years old. A few years ago she had a child who is about 3 now. Over the weekend the father of her child was killed in a drive by shooting not to far from where we all stay. Although I didn't really like the guy anyway that is besides the point and she is really in need of some comfort. I ask that you pray for her and her child (Darryon). That they may be comforted in this very very trying time in their lives. Thank you.

Francesca

Hi, my name is Francesca. 3 years ago, some friends of mine had a child born with neurofibramotosis(or NF). NF is a condition in which there are tumors of various sizes on periphial nerves. Because of this, one of Jackson's legs isn't growing. They can do surgery, but not until he's 8 yrs old. He used to be able to walk until, his legs started to grow. He can still sorta walk, but one leg is so much shorter than the other. Since his leg is so short, they might have to have it amputated eventually. Jackson tries so hard, everyone loves him very much. Please pray for Andy, Colleen, and Jackson.

Send emails or cards to me(I don't know if they want their address given out), Cinnamon4Christ@aol.com or Francesca Knowles 3660 Mill St. Marion, NY 14505

I just received a sobering telephone call from my brother in Virginia. It seems that my two nephews in Oregon were out deer hunting today and the one of their rifle's discharged. The bullet went into the head of Richard Peak. He's the nephew who was shot in the arm at the school shooting a year or so ago. His brother Bobby who's rifle discharged ran back several miles to get help. But Richard died. We don't know if it was instant or lingering. There is not much information as of yet. We just lost my dad on September 20th. So this accident is a devastating blow to the family. Richard was one of the paulbearers at dad's funeral.

Your prayers would be greatly appreciated for the family. My sister and mom are both torn to the heart about this situation. My mom loosing her husband and now her grandson, and my sister loosing her son who has gone through so much since the shooting at school. His brother will be in custody pending an investigation of the accident. So prayers that God would watch over him would be appreciated. We don't know why these things happen. We just saw them a week and a half ago.

If you could relay this to the brethren I would appreciate it. As you can imagine, the family is grieving deeply right now. Thank you.

My family and I attend the Houston North UCG church area. My sister Allison was in a bad car accident today, Thursday. She has a broken collar bone, and various bruises and cuts. She was able to come home tonight, but is a lot of pain. We would appreciate your prayers on her behalf.

My mom told me last night that my uncle's lung cancer has spread to his brain. His name is Bob Gregory. He had surgery for lung cancer last year, they took out one lung and part of his ribs, where the cancer had already spread, and replaced his ribs with a piece of plastic to rebuild his chest wall. The cancer has already started to affect his personality, memory, and he's now overly sensitive to odors. Your prayers for God's intervention to heal him or to give him a quick and painless end would be very appreciated. thanks

The Higginbotham Family

The Higginbotham family of West Terra Haute, IN request prayers for their son Chris, 18, and daughter Niki, 13. Niki was in a diving accident and broke he neck. She has to wear a neck brace for 2 to 3 months. As they were returning from the hospital they found out Chris had been in a motorcycle accident. Chris was pronounced dead at the scene but was revived and is improving. Chris had a friend with him, Lacey Barham who is also in bad shape. My uncle Kenny was in a motorcycle accident about 9 months ago. He wasn't wearing a helmet and suffered concussions on his head and wounds all over his body. He's still recovering but i would appreciate it if you all could pray for him. Then, about 4 months ago, my cousin Jeremy (Kenny's son) was in a car accident. He was in his pickup truck and a big yellow cadillac hit him. He (of course) wasn't wearing a seat belt and his truck was demolished. He was on a ventilator for 4 weeks and they kept him on morphine for quite some time. The cartilage on his nose was also torn off and now he needs to have several plastic surgeries to correct it. He's now recovering, although he's still in a lot of pain...thanks everyone

Hi Everyone: I received an interesting call tonight. My mom's an insurance agent. One of her customers, Lisa Phillips, called me out of the blue. It seems mymom told her about all of the prayers that went up for Anna eleven monthsago and how well she is doing now.

Lisa's daughter, Amanda, 7 1/2, is in need of a heart transplant. She contracted a viral infection as a young child which damaged the outerlining of the heart. She only has 20% function of her heart. Until recently, she responded well to medication. Since November, her condition has begunto decline. Doctors had to install a second pacemaker. This is what'skeeping her alive now.

A local television station and several local churches have offered to help raise money for Amanda's medical bills, but doctors have said that she should avoid most of the planned fundraisers because of the stress involved. I have never met Lisa or her daughter, Amanda, but when she calledtonight, you could tell that this was a mother who was desperate to find helpfor her child. She heard of the works that God worked in my daughter Anna'slife when you all prayed for here last year and she wants that same for her daughter Amanda. I get the feeling that Lisa spends her every wakingmoment looking for some way to save her daughters life. She told me all about Amanda's story, me a perfect stranger, and we talked on the phone for avery long time for people who didn't even know each other. She could reallyuse all our prayers.I'll keep you updated as I learn more.

Christen Honess' dad- her father is in the hospital right now with internal bleeding. Pray that the doctors have wisdom in his situation.
