What does Eve 6 mean?

"I was watching an episode of the X-files, and there
were 8 Adams and eight Eves in it.  They were all 
insane.  Eve 6 was in a straightjacket and a cell - 
above her cell was a plaque with her name on it.  She
bit her guard's eyeball out because she liked him.  I
thought it was a cool twist.  I saw the plaque and 
thought it would make a cool name." -Max, Eve6
